South Africa 2010 TV signals via RAD systems.
Large european carrier uses RAD systems to transport TV signals for Soccer World Championship 2010
RAD’s RIC-E3
Fast Ethernet over E3 Network Termination Units (NTUs) enable IP video broadcast transport over an existing SDH network. The carrier uses two separate SDH links between Africa and Europe. RICi-E3 NTU systems make it possible to transport Fast Ethernet over E3 lines by using Ethernet-to-TDM conversion. The systems can also be used to extend Ethernet LANs over SDH/SONET, including remote fault monitoring, end-to-end traffic separation and quality of service (QoS).
“We are very proud that this carrier has chosen RAD equipment to transport IP video to Europe", says Ami Barayev, Ethernet Product Line Manager at RAD Data Communications.
The RAD RIC NTU systems are part of RAD's EtherAccess® strategy for Carrier Ethernet. These systems provide access, extension, demarcation and concentration of Ethernet servcices such as IP-video over TDM networks.
