Overview of Simpana functionalities
The Common Technology Engine (CTE) is the interface for al functionalities present within the CommVault Simpana suite. These include not only Backup, but also Storage Resource Management (SRM), Disaster Recovery, Data replication, Information Lifecycle Management, Archiving Indexing search functionality and Compliancy.
CommVault backup solutions
The well know CommVault Simpana backup products offer all necessary security for your data. Using technologies like backup-to-disk and backup-to-disk-to-tape, your backup and restore windows can be shortened considerably. The user friendly management system allows you to simply and selectively restore data.
CommVault application integration
Many additional application options are available for CommVault Simpana, such as Microsoft Exchange (e.g. restore of individual emails), Microsoft SharePoint, SAP and databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL.
CommVault archiving
Using archiving solutions such as CommVault File and Mailbox Archiver, most email and file server problems are prevented indefinitely. The File and Mailbox Archiver functionality delivers automatic archiving of email and files, based on policies.
