DSL multiplexers are Actelis' main product line. Demands for bandwidths larger than SDSL (2,3 Mbps) are growing, e.g. 10 or 20 Mb. This often results in installation of (oftentimes expensive) fiber connections to client locations, with the telecom provider supplying at least a 34 Mbps connection. Actelis Networks offers an interesting alternative: coupling a maximum of 16 copper pairs may result in a connection of about 80 Mbps!
Applying her MetaLoop technology, Actelis Networks is one of the first companies enabling fiber quality on copper.
In The Netherlands, several municipalities have chosen to extend bandwidth between their locations using Actelis, such as the municipalities of Bergen op Zoom, Zoetermeer, Beverwijk and Roermond.
In addition to this, Colt Telecom and Easynet use these systems to deliver new services, supplying additional bandwidth within existing infrastructures.
