Previously known as 'Netilla', AEP Networks is the manufacturer of the AEP Netilla platform. This system offers a unique type of remote access: using a standard webbrowser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari) secure connections can be established anywhere in the world, based on SSL-technology.
Next, through the browser a session can be established from the AEP Netilla platform using a Microsoft Terminal Server or Citrix Server. This allows use of several Windows applications through the browser. The entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.), but also applications like Siebel and other CRM systems this way may be used worldwide over the Internet. Besides this 'thin-client'-like application, this platform allows Telnetsessions, 3270-sessions and IMAP mailconnections to be used through a secure SSL-tunnel.
The AEP Netilla-platform is a system that easily enables teleworking and home office working for user ranges varying from 10 to many thousands. This technology is also available as a virtual appliance for VMware.
The platform allows token authentication through a RADIUS-agent, and is strongly advised by Qi ict.
